The Easter Bunny decided to pay us a little visit and left us a little something sweet--Evan James was born on Sunday morning, 3/23, at 2:54 am. He was 6 lb. 3 oz. and 18 3/4 inches long.

After a slightly dramatic labor (mom almost had to have an emergency C-section and Evan had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice and around his body once), he quickly (2 pushes) made his entrance. He was pretty quiet at first--we thought maybe he'd be our 'mild child', but they must have put the batteries in before we came home. :0) He's got the cutest, but most squeaky little cry.

He's sleeping and eating well and Mommy and Daddy are amazingly not as tired as we thought we would be.

Ethan's doing great with "Eh"--as he calls him and loves to give him hugs and kisses. He's also tried sucking on Evan's paci and stealing his blanket. :)
Hopefully the next week (and 18 years) go as well as things have the past few days. We're sure the roller coaster will have hills, but we're looking forward to them. :)

It is said: "to nurture one is to nurture the world". What lucky little boys to have you both as parents.
